Pick Pocket range increased to 10 yards

In Patch 7.1.5 the rogue’s Pick Pocket ability has had its range increased from melee to 10 yards. This will make Heavy Junkbox farming a bit easier.

The Ravenholdt guide has been updated to reflect a change made to rogues in Patch 7.1.5.

In today’s patch the Pick Pocket ability has had its range increased from melee to 10 yards.

Back in previous expansions, it was possible to get this 10 yard range using a Charred Glyph; however, this had been removed in patch 7.0.3 and pickpocketing was restricted to melee range, making it much less useful overall, and making the Ravenholdt grind much more annoying.

With the 10 yard range restored, it’s once again possible to pickpocket the grouped mobs at Greengill Coast and the Fields of Honor relatively easily. This will make Heavy Junkbox farming a bit easier. Note that it’s still not possible to pickpocket while moving, as it was before the Mists of Pandaria expansion.

At this time I’m still recommending Greengill Coast as the best place for continuous farming, and the Fields of Honor is good if you like to take frequent breaks.
